Advancing Leadership in Sustainable Seafood

FishWise is a nonprofit sustainable seafood consultancy based in Santa Cruz, CA. Uniquely positioned between the seafood industry and marine conservation organizations, FishWise offers a range of services that empower businesses and a diverse community of collaborators to lead the transition to a sustainable, responsible seafood industry.

Utilizing a variety of services, including strategic planning, sourcing and supply chain assistance, employee training, materials development, and consumer education, FishWise delivers measurable conservation results to its partners, fostering industry leaders.

Traceability:

FishWise partners with companies to improve their internal traceability systems and practices as well as the traceability of the supply chains they engage with. FishWise can help companies develop a traceability policy, improve data collection, communicate traceability expectations to suppliers, conduct product risk assessments, and engage in global traceability efforts. Human Rights:

FishWise works with companies and a growing network of key experts and organizations to understand and improve social responsibility in seafood supply chains. FishWise can help companies identify risks, implement due diligence measures, and benchmark company human rights and labor procedures against industry best practices. In addition, FishWise shares tools, resources, and regulatory developments with NGOs to provide guidance for engaging companies in social responsibility improvements.
