Born and raised in South Alabama, our President and CEO, Carson Kimbrough, began his shrimp career in his early 20s when he began his learning curve by owning and operating his own shrimp boat for several years. Eventually, Carson decided to come ashore and quickly saw a need for marketing shrimp, which he started by purchasing and delivering shrimp with a used milk truck. As this grew, then came the need for a processing plant. In 1976 Carson opened his shrimp plant in Bon Secour, Alabama where he now processes up to 70,000 pounds per day with 100 employees and distributes across the country.
Carson stands by the importance of relationship building, especially when it comes to his company and brand, Captain Carson. Carson and Company prides themselves in creating strong relationships and like family, providing their continued support every step of the way to their suppliers, customers and consumers of Captain Carson shrimp. They want to educate everyone about their brand and the importance of WILD CAUGHT DOMESTIC SHRIMP to their country, their health and their taste buds!
