Wildfish Marketing was established in 2013 by fishermen and seafood professionals with decades of experience in fishing, seafood marketing, and the salmon industry. Created with the support of Patagonia, Inc., a brand steeped in principles of social and environmental responsibility, Wildfish Marketing is focused on better utilization of salmon resources and working directly with Alaska fishing communities. Wildfish has developed multiple branded fresh and frozen salmon programs marketed throughout the US.    

Recognizing the need for pricing structures that connect end-consumers to the fisher, Wildfish began working with Fair Trade USA to establish the first certified salmon fishery in the US. The Fair Trade model provides an all-in-one solution to many of the issues surrounding seafood today. It combines traceability, supply partnerships, pre-season commitments, and funding directly back to the fishers who know how to best benefit the fishery with both social and environmental initiatives. Wildfish Marketing believes the program sets a higher standard in the marketplace while achieving measurable economic impact to rural fishing communities.
