Safe Catch is a seafood distributor, importer, and wholesaler based in Sausalito, CA dedicated to providing pure, unaltered, sustainable seafood. Specializing in wild albacore and skipjack tuna, Safe Catch tests each fish individually for mercury and only uses fish that meet their strict mercury limits and purity standards. Safe Catch is the only brand to test every single fish for mercury and has the lowest mercury content of any brand. They test their Safe Catch Elite skipjack tuna to a limit ten times stricter than the FDA set mercury action limit while their Safe Catch albacore tuna is tested to a limit over three times stricter than the FDA set mercury action limit. 

Their albacore tuna are pole or troll-caught and their skipjack are caught using a process known as FAD (fish aggregating device)-free purse seine, also known as school caught purse seine. These methods minimize overall bycatch and other environmental impacts while being dolphin and sea turtle safe. Safe Catch then tests every fish to their mercury standards. Once tested, their tuna is raw packed, as is, and is cooked-in-can to seal in and retain all of its natural nutrients and flavor. Tuna from Safe Catch are high in Omega-3s and contains no fillers or additives, are non-GMO verified, gluten free, paleo, and have BPA free packaging.
