Kohala Mountain Fish Company
✕Kohala Mountain Fish Company (KMFC) is vertically integrated Tilapia farming and processor. The company operates Responsible Aquaculture, Aquaponics and Processing Facilities on the Big Island of Hawaii, U.S.A to supply sustainably farmed premium quality Tilapia to consumers all over the U.S.A and Canada.
KMFC raises its Kohala Mountain Sunfish Brand Tilapia in large recirculating Aquaculture Tanks, without the use of antibiotics, growth hormones, added chemicals, additives, preservatives, and polyphosphates. All waste water is filtered and used for our aquaponic lettuce operation and other terrestrial agriculture crops. There is no discharge into any receiving waters of the State of Hawaii or U.S. All processing waste is composted or used for animal feed.
KMFC's Kohala Mountain Sunfish Brand Tilapia is certified by The United States Department of Commerce National Oceanic Atmospheric Association (UCDC NOAA), as 100% safe United States product.
