International Seafoods of Alaska, Inc.
✕Founded in 1978, International Seafoods of Alaska’s (ISA) processing facility is situated on Kodiak Harbor on Kodiak Island, Alaska. ISA’s prime waterfront location provides easy access for fishermen who deliver salmon, cod, pollock, halibut, sablefish, rockfish, and several other key Alaska species sourced from the Gulf of Alaska. Annual production capacity is approximately 75,000,000 pounds and over 400 employees work to process the various species, maintain stringent quality control standards, and pack fresh and frozen seafood for delivery to customers around the world. ISA currently delivers to 17 countries worldwide.
The company's customers can be assured that ISA products are coming from productive, sustainable, and well-managed fisheries. International Seafoods of Alaska is committed to upholding Alaska’s 1959 constitutional requirement that mandates “fish…be utilized, developed and maintained on the sustained yield principle." Alaska is the first and only state where conservation management is written into the state constitution. The methods utilized in managing and maintaining Alaska's fisheries continue to serve as a model around the globe. ISA endorses and subscribes to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) model which actively traces Alaska’s harvested seafood from the ocean to the plate. The company's MSC-certification shows a commitment to customers that their seafood is responsibly sourced from sustainable fisheries.
