Flying Fish Company is a family owned and operated seafood retailer based in Portland, Oregon. Founded by Craig Gildersleeve in 1979 in Sandpoint, Idaho, Flying Fish Company expanded over the years to include several locations in the western United States, many operated by members of Craig’s extended family. In 2016 Craig’s son Lyf, the company's current President, joined forces with Providore Fine Foods of Portland, Oregon, and in 2017, the company moved all of their operations to Oregon. In addition to their namesake retail location, Flying Fish Company also owns The Flying Fish Oyster Bar as well as The Meat Monger, which sells local grass-fed beef, buffalo, elk, pork, lamb, chicken, eggs, and many other specialty items.

Committed to selling sustainable seafood at competitive prices and unsurpassed quality, Flying Fish Company goes to great lengths to only source sustainable seafood for their customers. With a wide selection of products ranging from tuna, swordfish, and shrimp to squid and marlin, Flying Fish Company is dedicated to only providing their customers with products that they would serve on their own dinner table.
