Contact Information

Confederation Cove Mussel Co. Ltd has been in operation since April 2000 in the old Marine Atlantic Terminal building on Prince Edward Island. Although CCMC has been in operation for less than a decade, owners Stephen Stewart and John Price have been working with shellfish for the majority of their lives. Stephen Stewart has been growing mussels for more than 22 years. His mussel farms supply 50% of the mussels processed at Confederation Cove. Through his hard work and dedication he has grown to become one of P.E.I.s largest mussel producers. Stephen is an industry leader and throughout his career has been the President of the various Mussel Aquaculture Associations on Prince Edward Island. Currently, he holds a position on the board of directors of the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance. John Price has been working in the shellfish industry for over 27 years. He started with an old truck that he drove himself, distributing fresh shellfish between Prince Edward Island and the New England states. John currently owns and operates JPs Shellfish. His dedication to quality and hard work has enabled him to become one of the largest shellfish distributors in the United States and Canada.
