Captain’s Fine Foods, LLC is a seafood processor based in St. Petersburg, Florida that focuses on value-added items and wild-caught domestic shrimp. Captain’s Fine Foods was started by the owners of Trans-Global Products when they saw an opportunity in domestic seafood processing. Already firmly entrenched in the seafood industry with a seafood trading business, a U.S. tuna vessel fleet and foreign seafood processing plants, Captain’s Fine Foods was a natural extension of their seafood endeavors.

The main focus for Captain's Fine Foods products has always been on quality, taste, and value. With over fifty years of combined experience in seafood processing, distributing, and exporting, the management team has the knowledge and know-how to fill customers’ orders with expertise. Captain’s Fine Foods processes raw seafood items, with the capability to peel and grade shrimp and filet fish. The company also has full breading and par-frying capabilities at its SQF2/USDC Grade A facility, which allows it to produce value-added seafood items, such as breaded seafood, stuffed seafood, and microwave-ready frozen seafood meals.

As a multigenerational seafood company, Captain’s Fine Goods have a high level of commitment to sustainability. The wild American shrimp it carries is sustainably harvested from the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. When purchasing shrimp from Captain’s Fine Foods, customers can know they are supporting America’s local fishermen and seafood communities. The company is also a proud participant of the Fisheries Improvement Partnership with the Gulf of Mexico Roundtable, Sustainable Fisheries Partnership and Audubon Institute’s Gulf United for Lasting Fisheries (GULF). Captain’s Fine Foods also works with Sea Grant to keep up-to-date with improved techniques for shrimp harvesting as well as with Southeastern Fisheries Association in support of the commercial fishing industry.
