The company also strives to have its facilities be sustainable too. The company's processing plant has reduced its freshwater consumption by 75% and wash water from stations are recirculated for reuse. American Mussels Harvesters will continue to focus on farming, harvesting and operational practices that are sustainable.

In addition, the company specializes in Restaurant Ready® live shellfish. The shellfish in this line are grown in remote locations and brought to market after following a stringent post-harvest quality control process developed by the company. As the shellfish are harvested and immediately brought to a processing facility for distribution, this brand offers fresh, flavorful mussels, oysters, and clams.
