American Fish & Seafood Company
✕As World War II ended, George Doizaki, founder of American Fish & Seafood, had a vision to supply the public with quality seafood. His vision was accomplished by obtaining the best seafood suppliers, and dedicating himself and his company to good customer service. Today, American Fish & Seafood is run by George's son, Ernie, who took over in 1982. Under Ernie's guidance, American Fish & Seafood has become one of the largest seafood distributors in the U.S.
In addition to its headquarters in Los Angeles, American has distribution subsidiaries in San Diego, Las Vegas, Sacramento and Miami. American services both retail and foodservice accounts of all sizes. American's success is due to Ernie following the passion and wisdom of his father for the best quality seafood and the best customer service.
Even with multiple locations, the motto "Distribute only the freshest, finest quality seafood" is never compromised. American Fish and Seafood Co, voluntarily employs federal inspectors full time in order to ensure the vast amount of fresh frozen seafood brought in from all over the world that is processed in each of these centers is safe for our customers. The National Marine Fisheries Service also assists us in the seafood inspection program at each of our facilities. Each center specializes in products matched to its region as well as what the market dictates, assisting us in delivering the freshest possible seafood anywhere in the country. We will always continue to raise the bar when it comes to freshness and quality, something we will never compromise.
The roots of family tradition have grown even deeper after they recently merged with Santa Monica Seafood. Santa Monica Seafood is the largest seafood distributor in the southwestern U.S., serving quality seafood to restaurants, hotels and country clubs. For 73 years they have been a private, family-owned business with an excellent reputation for quality, innovation, integrity and a focus on food safety and sustainability. As a division of Santa Monica Seafood, American Fish & Seafood Company continues to specialize in providing only the finest quality local seafood available as well as the finest of products sourced worldwide. Together, they bring a unique blend of quality, service and experience.
