Alaskan Salmon Company of Anchorage, Alaska is a primary fisher of fresh, wild Alaskan salmon. Founded by Kyle Lee, a passionate lifelong fisherman and native Alaskan, Alaskan Salmon Company was created on the foundation of sharing local, sustainable salmon with the masses.

Aboard their vessel on the Copper River, Alaskan Salmon Company employs custom built gillnets to catch Chinook, coho, and sockeye salmon. Taking care to ensure that fish are removed from their gillnets as soon as possible after being caught, the fish are brought onboard alive, ensuring a better end product. After their fish are removed from the water, the dorsal aorta is disconnected, and the fish are placed in a hold with fresh seawater that mimics their natural habitat, allowing their bodies to relax. The natural salt content from the ocean reduces coagulation, further evacuating all of the salmon’s blood. This step is key to maintaining the highest quality and flavor of the salmon.

Due to the location of Alaskan Salmon Company’s fishing operations, they are able to defy the odds of typical seafood freshness. Their 'Truly Fresh' process ensures that all their fish are caught and delivered to their customer's door within 48 hours. Rather than optimize the pounds of fish, Alaskan Salmon Company’s operations are centered around optimizing the freshness of their fish.
