PezCo Aquafarming LLC. is a family owned and operated company committed to the production and commerce of Colombian farm-raised tilapia. Colombia boasts the the fourth largest freshwater supply in the world, which makes it a pristine place to farm-raise sustainable, clean, and delicious fish. 

PezCo farms tilapia in artificial reservoirs and independent land-based lake systems with recirculating water. The reservoirs are located at the confluence of the Magdalena River and the Yaguará River where fish are raised in biosecure floating enclosures. Their land based lake systems are located in valleys irrigated by fresh water springs from the Andean Cordilleras. For decades, important aquaculture projects have been developed in these areas. The Betania Reservoir area produces more than 50% of tilapia production nationwide. In addition to Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certifications, all aquaculture activity in reservoirs and lakes is managed and restricted by the Colombian government. Production is completely integrated with optimal farming practices throughout the entire operation, from hatchery to processing.

More than 200 employees process their products for the international market. The quality control team is in charge of visually checking the color, odor, texture of the company's tilapia, ensuring customers and consumers receive a fresh, and high quality fish.
